This was the case in Jalaram Academy, Kisumu County, as new champions emerged as St John’s Ambulance national first aid competition came to an end over the weekend.nPandya boys from Coast region were crowned champions in giving first aid after scoring 212 points. Debutants St Georges and Kieni High school, both from Rift Valley region, were first and second runners up with 206 and 191 points respectively.nIn girls’ first aid, Western region’s Bunyore Girls were crowned the new champions with 202 points. They were closely trailed by Kipsigis Girls from Rift Valley region, who scored 198 points. Mama Ngina Girls from Coast scooped 180 points to become second runners up.nRift Valley region, represented by debutants Kipsigis Girls and Kieni High School, were crowned overall winners after demonstrating the best first aid procedures in the regional ranking. They were trailed by coast and western region, which ranked second and third respectively.
